Here is a cheerful note we received a few months ago. Sorry it took so long to post it.

Dear Steve, As you know, I've been incredibly naive about the whole birth control issue, and thank God for putting One More Soul's NFP Instructor Seminar in my path.

One woman from my church is giving up the "mini pill" after ten years of constant use (she's the one who had a mile-long list of medical and emotional reasons she must use it), and not only has she embraced the idea of using NFP, but she is realizing that she and her husband would truly be open to the blessing of new life. She has been unable to face even the idea of using the sacrament of reconciliation, and I think openness to that will follow.

Another woman (my fourth grader's CCD teacher) read straight through "A Generous Act of Love" after I gave it to her, and says it was the most powerful call she has ever had. She looked and sounded like a different person when I saw her last night - practically glowed with her beginning conversion. She is committed to having her tubal ligation reversed if at all possible, has given the book to her husband and is praying for his support.

My sister, who is a public health nurse, and arranges contraceptives for hundreds of women a year, is willing to talk with me about benefits of promoting NFP as first choice (and hopefully as time goes on, exclusive choice). She already knows the fertility awareness end, but has never connected it to the spiritual and moral aspects involved. We had a great opening talk a few nights ago, and are planning another during a car trip this Saturday. Everywhere I turn, it seems doors are open, and my own walk, in marriage and with our Lord, is something I look forward to eagerly each and every day. I am so glad to have shared a bit of that walk with you and Vita and the others involved in the March 22nd-25th session. God bless and keep you.
